Top 5 Film & Television Apps on iOS in Hungary, Q1 2023

In Q1 2023, Hungary's top five film and television apps on iOS displayed diverse performance trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Disney+ experienced a significant peak in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $45K in mid-March. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend, starting from 12.3K at the end of December and ending at around 2.9K by the end of March. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 60K to 70K throughout the quarter.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies saw its weekly revenue peak at about $30K in early March. Weekly downloads showed a general decline from 6.9K at the start of the quarter to around 2.3K by the end. Active users experienced a slight decrease, from approximately 45K at the beginning of the quarter to around 37.5K by the end of March.

Netflix had a modest peak in weekly revenue of around $3.7K in early March. Downloads exhibited a downward trend, starting at 7.1K at the end of December and dropping to about 2.5K by the end of March. Active users also saw a decline, from around 119K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 88.6K at the end.

SkyShowtime: Filmer och serier had its highest weekly revenue at about $5.5K in mid-February. Downloads followed a downward trend from 11.7K in mid-February to approximately 3.9K by the end of March. Active users peaked at around 16.6K in late February before settling to around 13.2K by the end of the quarter.

RTL+ Magyarország did not generate any revenue during this period. Weekly downloads decreased from 2.2K at the beginning of January to about 568 by the end of March. Active users also showed a decline, starting from approximately 7.8K at the end of December and ending at around 4.8K by the end of the quarter.
